Thanks for sharing Glenn. This is great. It’s nice to read about some similar rhythms and habits that I have.l as well. I’m also curious if you leave room for pivots during the sermon delivery if the Spirit was prompting you to do something different. Curious to hear your thoughts
Absolutely! I was just telling the Sermon Circle today that while I was reading one of the passages of Scripture in the middle of my sermon, the Holy Spirit helped me see something I hadn’t seen before, and I went on a tiny bit of a roll on it. Love those moments— like I’m actually encountering God through the Bible in the middle of a sermon!
This is exceptionally helpful as we are developing a preaching circle at our congregation. Do you have a rubric or "pillars" that you use to make sure sermons cover or convey your theological values, intent, or a particular focus?
Thank you! I currently preach to incarcerated youth, I am just now learning how to preach. I’m looking forward on utilizing what you’ve shared here and applying it to my context!

Glenn, this is so good! Are there standard evaluation questions you guys use? If so would you mind sharing those?
Love this! Thanks Glenn, super insightful
