Thanks for sharing Glenn. This is great. It’s nice to read about some similar rhythms and habits that I have.l as well. I’m also curious if you leave room for pivots during the sermon delivery if the Spirit was prompting you to do something different. Curious to hear your thoughts

Absolutely! I was just telling the Sermon Circle today that while I was reading one of the passages of Scripture in the middle of my sermon, the Holy Spirit helped me see something I hadn’t seen before, and I went on a tiny bit of a roll on it. Love those moments— like I’m actually encountering God through the Bible in the middle of a sermon!

This is exceptionally helpful as we are developing a preaching circle at our congregation. Do you have a rubric or "pillars" that you use to make sure sermons cover or convey your theological values, intent, or a particular focus?

Thank you! I currently preach to incarcerated youth, I am just now learning how to preach. I’m looking forward on utilizing what you’ve shared here and applying it to my context!
